What is dementia?

Dementia is an umbrella term that encompasses symptoms arising from a decline in brain function. This decline is marked by damage and eventual death of nerve cells in the brain. Unfortunately, when a nerve cell dies, it cannot typically be replaced, leading to the shrinkage of various areas of the brain.

With 850,000 people in the UK living with dementia, primarily affecting those over 65 (but also impacting over 42,000 individuals under 65), our focus is on collaborating with senior physiotherapists to facilitate home-based rehabilitation for clients recovering from strokes, accidents, surgeries, or extended hospital stays. Our trained caregivers assist with exercises, enhancing mobility and daily tasks for effective rehabilitation at home.
